1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
Praised for communication, organization and leadership skills, it is not coincidence that I’m driven to help “Youth Achieve Excellence”. As a coach and former teacher I’ve recognized there’s great responsibility when impacting the lives of youth. It’s for a time like this I carry the PTA message “everychild.onevoice.”

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
At age 20, I received a promotion to store supervisor of a multi-million dollar home improvement company, while attending Jr. College. I’ve achieved a Masters in Sports Management and was recently blessed to have my 18’s team place 5th at the 2008 U.S. Volleyball National Jr. Olympics.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
I love running whether it’s on a treadmill, to a child’s classroom, volleyball or basketball practice, PTA function, community fundraiser, Bible study or grocery store. I balance my life with a joyful heart and sip mango iced tea to rest and restore.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
Our family values are wrapped around unconditional love. We teach our children patience and kindness; to appreciate what we have while humble. “Please” and “thank you” are everyday words, and helping others brings delight. We live in the truth and laugh heartily, especially on Friday family night, pizza and movie.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
My husband says, “I’ve cleaned the bowl before I’ve even cracked the egg”. With my life centered on our family of three children, dog, cat and fish, not to mention all the other moving parts, cleaning often wins the race over a good massage and pedicure.
