Randa Allen - 4th Runner-Up

1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
I’m the face of a cancer survivor. It is my responsibility and privilege to share my survival story and educate the public about the services the American Cancer society offers. My role as an educator, volunteer and spokesperson fits the International system because both have the purpose to empower women.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I’m a leader with the LIVESTRONG foundation. I’m fighting to make cancer a national priority in my community. Cancer may leave your body but it never leaves your life therefore I’m running in my first 5K to support laws that ensures everyone benefits from cancer prevention and detection.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
I enjoy sport-circuit training and my husband Greg and I ride bikes together. I’m conscientious about the ingredients I put on my skin, take vitamins and floss every night. I guard my mind with positive reading, keep doctor appointments and maintain a commitment to myself to live strong.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
For us it is managing our family like a team. “Team GBR” supports each other’s dreams and endeavors. We value each other’s skills, personality and role. Our teamwork and strong support system allows us to be successful individually and as a whole.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
I’m notorious for letting my gas tank get low. While doing errands the fuel light comes on and I will think, “Get fuel now!” Soon that thought becomes, “I will before I go home”. Soon I’ve passed stations until I’m home and the morning routine starts with getting gas.
