1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
My role as a wife of almost 22 years to my husband Chris and as a mom to my two teenage boys comes above all else in my life. Even the simplicity of having dinner together as a family is the best feeling in the world to me.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
A day doesn’t go by without remembering my hero, my mom. A three-time heart attack survivor, a heart and kidney transplant recipient, and truly the happiest woman I knew. She had a contagious laugh, a peace that surrounded her, and a heart that belonged to God.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
My three dogs – Ginger, Mangey and Pinky are my favorite gifts! Mangey, a homeless puppy was found covered in severe mange and his name rightfully stuck. There’s nothing better than walking in the front door and having your furry babies waiting on mommy kisses and hopefully, dog cookies!

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
Imagine your first name as “Truby”. I grew up hiding the name out of embarrassment and then my husband’s affectionate nickname for me became that very name again, it’s his way of calling me sweetheart. My parents thought it was a lovely, defining name and I get it now.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
Living in South Carolina, we are fortunate to enjoy every season with full flavor but when spring rolls around after a cold winter, I get especially excited. The flowers and trees bloom with their beautiful colors, the pretty clothes come out and camping season begins for our family.
